Best Knowledge Transfer Partnership
James Leckey Design Ltd, the University of Ulster and Associate Clare Wright
James Leckey Design Ltd used the KTP project to help transform its profile from a manufacturing business that made rehabilitation equipment, to a centre of clinical excellence in the development of postural management equipment for children and young people with special needs. As a result of the project, the business now has the ability to carry out formal research studies that are robust and will withstand international security. The project has enabled the business to improve its clinical knowledge and has enhanced capabilities in the generation of marketing and product support literature. This strategic focus on clinical excellence has also opened new opportunities for the business to expand the service side of its operations, through the supply of revenue generating training and education seminars and practical workshops.
