As KTP Associate you will be employed by Lancaster University, but will be based at CI, which is located in Bolton. You will lead this exciting project which aims to design and develop a new range of commercial measurement systems to monitor and control the water quality in both domestic and commercial aquariums. The project aims to deliver the research and development needed to fully understand and model the measurement process with the generation of sensing systems suitable for commercial exploitation. You will work closely with and be supported by the senior management team at CI and academics from the Department of Chemistry, principally Head of Department, Professor Peter Fielden (Analytical Chemistry), and Dr Nick Evans (Ion sensing molecules).
Skills required: Ideally for this post you will have a PhD relevant to chemical sensors and/or chemical measurement instrumentation. Additional attributes will include good project management and team working skills.
