The main duty of the post holder is to lead and successfully deliver the Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) between UCL and WCN to use Data Science and Machine Learning techniques to develop intelligent models to support recruitment process, particularly in identifying the best candidate applications for a given role or the best role for a given candidate, thereby embedding significant capabilities in WCN for future growth.
The successful candidate will conduct cutting-edge research in information retrieval and apply it in the recruiting business. This project brings some unique academic challenges, which are exciting and valuable for the research of information retrieval. The bi-directional match between CV and Jobs is a unique technological challenge. It provides a novel application that goes beyond web search and traditional single direction recommender systems.
