Based at Hanover Housing, St Neot’s, Cambridgeshire, you will lead a Knowledge Transfer Partnership project to develop a methodological framework to facilitate the effective engagement with older people in the use of technology in the home in order to improve the quality of their lives and wellbeing. This will include the development of clear requirements to which suppliers of technology can respond.

The KTP Associate will be an employee of Newcastle University but will spend most of their working time at the company’s premises in Cambridgeshire. Although the contract is fixed-term for a duration of 2 years, more than 70% of KTP staff are made a permanent job offer by their KTP company.

Candidates with a Master’s (or equivalent) in Social or Behavioural Sciences together with experience of working with older people preferably within a housing environment are preferred. Suitable candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree will also be considered.
The successful candidate will have good interpersonal, communication and team working skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Personal motivation, drive, good planning, organisation skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines are essential.
