Based at Flexisolar, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, you will lead a Knowledge Transfer Partnership project to embed within Flexisolar the knowledge and understanding required to enable Flexisolar to create innovative and bespoke integrated energy management systems (SmartHubs) to address emerging needs in the solar carport, battery energy storage systems and electric vehicle charging markets including vehicle to grid.

Candidates with a PhD in the area of research within power electronics with experience in the design and operation of power electronic converters, energy storage and PV systems integration and control systems are preferred. Suitable candidates with an MSc will be considered.

The KTP Associate will be an employee of Newcastle University but will spend most of their working time at the company’s premises in Huntingdon. Although the contract is fixed-term for a duration of 3 years, more than 70% of KTP staff are made a permanent job offer by their KTP company.
