The University of Sunderland in partnership with Rokshaw Laboratories offers an exciting opportunity to a recent graduate to develop a Medical Formulation Engine (MFE) which uses big data and pharmaceutics insight to enable the rapid formulation and production of novel and bespoke medications.
Skills required: Skills:

Ability to demonstrate a solid understanding of AI and data analytics. (E)
Ability to demonstrable skills in software design, development and testing, and coding skills in languages such as C++, Python, R, etc. (E)
Awareness of Big data ecosystems, cloud infrastructure and their development (e.g. Hadoop, mongo database). (E)
Competent in using excel for the graphical presentation of data. (E)
Ability to identify literature using online search engines and to critically review literature. (E)
Transferable skills, such as problem identification and solving, teamwork, excellent communication (oral & written). (E)
Understanding pharmaceuticals / drug formulations/dosage forms etc. (D)


Sound understanding and practical experience of intelligent software design and development. (E)
Engagement in projects with others, working in teams to create services and software products. (E)
Experience of Intelligent Systems and Data Analytics and of applying intelligent techniques and approaches for software development. (D)
