We want to transform the way data centre equipment is refreshed by developing a set of models and a tool that would allow in-depth understanding of hardware refresh cycles, the environmental impact of such practices, and business case analysis. The focus will be on driving the circular economy and the green environment agenda.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work to deadlines, provide solutions to challenging requirements, and look forward to working with the state-of-the-art technologies that the project requires. You will have a good honours degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other relevant areas (Post-graduate qualification, PhD in Computer Science or other relevant subject areas, or equivalent experience is desirable). You will have awareness of data centre related projects and software development experience. Having experience or understanding of agile product development; mathematical skills; and critical thinking skills will be an advantage. You will have good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with a variety of stakeholders. You should be able to demonstrate experience of being able to plan and prioritise workload and contribute to a multi-disciplinary team.
