This is an exciting opportunity to work with an ambitious team on the latest swimming pool innovations. Based in the Bristol area, you will join a small team responsible for developing a chemical free, plug and play mineral water filtration system for global deployment in high volume and high value swimming pool markets. The project is fully supported by the academic team within Applied Sciences at the University of the West of England to transfer skills and knowledge into the business.
The position is a 24 month fixed term contract, which includes management and business skills training provided by the national KTP programme and a further £2k per annum dedicated training budget tailored towards your personal development, plus an opportunity to complete an Mphil or further qualification.
On completion of the KTP project, it is Clear Water Revival’s intention to offer on-going employment to the right candidate. Flexible working will be considered.
Essential skills required:
1 Years commercial experience in a design / development setting
Experience of engineering design and the application of Computer-Aided Design (SolidWorks etc) and production of manufacturing drawings
Knowledge of numerical modelling, finite element modelling and computational fluid dynamics.
Commercial experience of design for manufacture and prototyping/fabrication
Experience of fluid dynamics and or pressure vessels
Ability to interpret and articulate technical and complex information from multiple sources (engineering drawings / technical data sheet)
Experience of project management, budget setting and cost control
Proven ability and creative flair to develop innovative engineering solutions from concept creation and selection through to detailed design and manufacture
Hold a clean driving license
Desirable skills required:
Knowledge of water engineering including fluid pumping and filtrations systems.
Awareness and understanding of the commercial drivers and accept responsibility for delivering project objectives
