We wish to recruit a highly skilled and motivated individual to work in Creagh Concrete in collaboration with Queen’s University Belfast for 30 months. Through this Knowledge Transfer Partnership, Creagh Concrete aim to develop low cost, rugged and reusable sensor technology for enabling digital manufacturing and product tracking for precast concrete.
Skills required: Qualifications we require:
Hold, or be about to obtain in July 2019, at least a 2.1 Honours Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical, Electronics, Control Engineering or a closely related discipline. Applicants who hold a 2.2 Honours Degree in above, in addition to either 1 years’ relevant experience or a related higher degree will be considered.

Essential skills we require as a minimum:
Experience of working in instrumentation and data analysis.*
Experience of practical sensor system design and build.*
An understanding of wireless communication theory*
Experience of analog or RF circuit design.*
* may be demonstrated through the completion of a module, student project or placement

It’s desirable that the successful candidate has …
Holds, or be about to obtain, a higher degree in a relevant area.
At least 3 months’ relevant practical industrial/ research experience.*
Skills in working with low-cost low-energy wireless systems.
Experience of embedded programming for sensor applications.*
Demonstrable skills in recording and displaying transmitted data for sensor applications.*
Experience of antennas embedded in media.*
