Based at Kimpton Energy Solutions, you will lead on the development of low cost vibro-acoustic, non-hygroscopic, and most importantly - fire resistive materials and assemblies to meet demanding specifications in an industrial environment.
The best performing materials and assembly designs will be embedded into the products to deliver lower cost high performance large scale industrial acoustic enclosures.
You will have a Masters degree in a relevant subject area (Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or Acoustics). A PhD in a related area and/or knowledge in the field of acoustics or fire engineering would be highly desirable. The Associate will have a strong mathematical background, along with experience with experimental measurements and simulation. Programming skills (eg Matlab, FEM software) are desirable, as is experience in 3D product design modelling. Grounded practical engineering skills/knowledge gained in the workplace or through personal interests are also desirable.
